• The Zero will be based on the same SEA platform as the 001.
  • The Lynk & Co Zero will have similar dimensions to the Lotus Emeya, also from Geely.
  • The flagship Zero can produce up to 1,248 hp.

Lynk & Co has been out of the headlines for some time, but is working hard on its new battery-electric sedan called Zero. A handful of teasers of the car have just been released, showing it being tested on the mountain roads of China’s Anhui province.

These images show that the Zero will adopt a sleek fastback design not dissimilar to the 07 EM-P PHEV that the Chinese brand is also developing. Peering through the red and black camouflage, we can see sharp LED headlights shaped like claws, as well as a sleek LED light bar connecting them. The bumper appears to be free of any unnecessary intakes or angles and features a wide grille at its base.

The new Lynk & Co Zero will be based on the Sustainable Experience Architecture as the Zeekr 001 and will also include the same 800-volt electrical architecture. With that in mind, it will be similar in dimensions to the Zeekr, measuring approximately 5 meters (~197 inches) long and 2 meters (~79 inches) wide, with a wheelbase of ~3 meters (~118 inches). This also means it will be almost identical in size to the Lotus Emeya sedan, another electric sedan from Geely.

Since the Zero will use an identical platform as the Zeekr 001, it could be offered with similar powertrains. This could mean a standard model with up to 778 hp and a performance model with the same 1,248 hp as the 001 FR. Such numbers would make this sedan one of the fastest sedans in the world. It would also give it a lead of over 300 horsepower over the Emeya.

Car News China reports that like the Zeekr, the car will also be launched with rear-wheel steering and a tank turning function.

The automaker hasn’t released any photos of the Zero’s interior, but a few spy photos have been taken in recent months. They reveal that the latest Lynk & Co product will feature a slim digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment display in the center of the dashboard, as well as a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
