Teenage superstar Luke Littler will headline a star-studded line-up when the World Series of Darts returns to Australia and New Zealand in August.
The PDC’s annual trip Down Under begins with the Australian Darts Masters in Wollongong on August 9th and 10th, before the New Zealand Darts Masters at the GLOBOX Arena in Hamilton on August 16th and 17th.
Each World Series event pits a field of 16 against each other over two days of action, with eight PDC superstars competing against eight Oceanic representatives.
Littler – runner-up in the World Championship behind Luke Humphries and current Premier League leader – will be making his first appearance in Australia and New Zealand after already enjoying World Series success with victory at the Bahrain Darts Masters in January.
Humphries will make his debut Down Under after a sensational 12-month spell which saw him claim the sport’s biggest title following titles at the World Grand Prix, Grand Slam of Darts and Players Championship Finals in January.
Rob Cross will join the duo as he targets a double title defense in August after winning at both Hamilton and Wollongong in 2023.
Former New Zealand Darts Masters champion Gerwyn Price and his former world champion colleagues Michael Smith and Peter Wright are also there, while UK Open champion Dimitri Van den Bergh makes his final appearance Down Under.
Australian number 1 Damon Heta completes the list of eight PDC representatives, with the former World Cup winner rewarded for moving into the world top 10 in 2024.
Heta’s World Cup partner Simon Whitlock will take part in both events, continuing his ever-present record Down Under. He will be joined by New Zealander Haupai Puha, who secured his PDC Tour Card in January.
Three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen and World Matchplay champion Nathan Aspinall will miss the double-header in August for family reasons.
