LSG vs MI: Watch – Mohammad Nabi Catches a Brilliant Catch on the Boundary, Dismissing KL Rahul for 28

Experienced all-rounder of Mumbai Indians (MI) Mohammad Nabi took an absolutely superb catch to deny Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper in the 48th match of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) on Tuesday, April 30. KL Rahul at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

KL Rahul has always loved playing against Mumbai Indians as he has hit three centuries against the franchise and has an average of over 60. He hit two of these centuries while wearing the LSG jersey.

In 2022, LSG defeated the Mumbai-based franchise on April 16 and 24 by 18 and 36 runs respectively. In both games, the LSG captain hit brilliant centuries and led his team to victories. He first scored a 60-ball 103 and then hit a 62-ball 103, remaining unbeaten on both occasions.

In the IPL 2024 match against Mumbai Indians, KL Rahul tried to win the game through careful cricket. Rahul would have thought about scoring a big score and taking his team over the finish line, but he failed and was dismissed for 28 runs in 22 balls, including 3 fours and 1 six.

KL Rahul was dismissed on the second ball of the 8th over bowled by MI captain Hardik Pandya. The MI all-rounder bowled a hard ball outside off stump and KL Rahul tried to hit it over the leg side for a six. However, he did not have a good connection with the ball and was caught by Mohammad Nabi near the boundary as the Afghanistan veteran did not lose his balance despite standing on one leg when receiving the ball.

Speaking of the game, Hardik Pandya’s Mumbai Indians suffered another defeat in the competition and are now unable to reach 16 points, meaning their belief in IPL qualification is no longer in their control.

Mumbai Indians have lost 7 of the 10 games they played in IPL 2024, with the 4-wicket loss to LSG severely denting their playoff hopes. After the end of the match, former Indian national cricket team all-rounder Irfan Pathan grabbed his official X-grip to launch a fresh attack on Hardik Pandya. He said that Mumbai Indians were mismanaged on the field which was the reason for their failure in the 2024 Indian Premier League.

“The Mumbai Indians team that qualified last year did not have Jasprit Bumrah but this season they had his services. You are still in this situation. Simply because the team on site was not well managed. Too many mistakes from their captain Hardik.” Pandya. It’s the truth,” the former Indian national cricket team all-rounder wrote on X.
