Amid the anticipation of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, filmmaker Abhishek Singh is also all set to direct the adaptation of the Hindu epic. For the unversed, Abhishek Singh’s film titled Shri Ramayan Katha will feature popular Lock Upp icon and influencer Anjali Arora playing Goddess Sita. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi will star in Nitesh Tiwari’s film.

Talking about bagging the role of Sita in Abhishek Singh’s next film, Anjali Arora expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity. In an interview with ETimes, Anjali said, “I think they saw something in me that convinced them that I could do justice to the character.” I got finalized last month and since then I have been watching videos, readings and attend workshops. I will do my best to do justice to the character.”
Anjali also revealed initial insecurities and acknowledged the competitive nature of the audition. Despite the daunting prospect of competing with numerous actors, Anjali’s sincere commitment to the character won over the filmmakers and landed her the coveted role.
Since her confirmation last month, Anjali has engaged in meticulous preparation and research through videos and workshops to ensure an authentic portrayal of Sita. She welcomes the inevitable comparisons with Sai Pallavi’s interpretation and welcomes the opportunity to be judged alongside an accomplished actress, declaring, “If I am compared to a Bollywood actress, I will be happy.”
However, it is worth mentioning here that the official announcement of Sri Ramayan story was not done. Meanwhile, a number of pictures from the sets of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana have been leaked online including Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. However, Nitesh Tiwari is yet to officially announce the film.
