Indian-American singer-songwriter Lisa Mishra releases her debut album titled Sorry I’m too late, which represents a significant milestone in her artistic career. The album is a deep dive into Lisa’s journey as an artist and person and a collection of stories clearly rooted in the female experience, exploring themes of loneliness, love, loss, anger and redemption. Sorry I’m too late is a unique blend of Indian and Western pop that reflects Lisa’s third culture background. With influences from R&B, drum and bass, Afrobeats, Indian semi-classical, trap, hip-hop and more, Lisa takes center stage as a true songwriter and is involved in the composition and lyrics throughout the project.

Earlier this year, Lisa also released two tracks from the album – “Aadat‘ And ‘We came‘, both of which have received a great response from listeners worldwide with over a million streams. The album includes features from notable artists like Yashraj (“Roshni‘), Charan (‘Love song‘, ‘Roshni‘) and Bhumika (‘Aadat‘) and features a production of talented artists including Riz Shain, Soham Mukherji, Karan Kanchan, Abhijay Sharma and Clifr, each adding their unique touch to different tracks, and of course Lisa herself.
Sharing her excitement about the release of her debut album, Lisa radiates, “Working on this album was like a personal catharsis. My listeners have never heard me tell my own stories, and with this project they get to see the most unfiltered version of Lisa Mishra. My goal with this album was to make young girls feel seen and to build a community of listeners who can connect with me through the experience of being a woman. I want to empower girls through my words, but I also want us to feel vulnerable together and explore themes of loneliness and heartbreak.”
Featuring a total of 8 tracks, the release marks the introduction of 5 new captivating tracks to the record with “Nash‘ as the lead single, written and composed by Lisa. Other tracks released as part of the album include “The heart is mine‘, ‘Roshni‘, ‘Lonely‘ And ‘Love song‘ and the already released alternative version of ‘Aadat’.
“I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere without the help of our incredible team of producers and writers. Her commitment to helping me tell my stories through song was the only way this project could come to fruition. This album awakened not only the writer and composer in me, but also the music producer and music video director. I have grown more as a result than I could ever imagine Sorry I’m too late and I hope it’s a confident debut that resonates with audiences,” she adds.
