Reckless driving is a major problem on our roads. We have come across several videos in the past where drivers have acted irresponsibly, causing inconvenience to other road users. Recently, we came across one such video from Kerala where a reckless KTM rider was causing havoc on the road by driving dangerously on the wrong side. The biker’s video went viral and soon the police took action against him.

The video was shared on various social media platforms. In this video we see a rider on a KTM RC motorcycle driving recklessly on a public road. The driver is not only driving dangerously, but also on the wrong side of the road. He is driving on a two-lane highway and we can see vehicles such as cars, bikes and even a bus coming from the opposite direction.
The driver got onto the wrong side of the road with his bike and narrowly escaped being hit by a bus. The video was recorded by a friend of the rider who was following him on another two-wheeler. This stunt was done just to create viral social media content.
As soon as the video was posted online, many people reposted it and it gained a lot of attention. Most of them were not comfortable with the biker’s riding style. Most people who came across the video started posting negative comments underneath it. They also directed the Kerala Police to take action against the driver.
Eventually the police came across the video and began searching for the driver. It was a bit challenging task as the bike the rider was using had no license plate. With the help of social media and surveillance cameras installed in different parts of the city, the police managed to track him down and take the bike into custody. They also arrested the driver.

The 22-year-old rider had bought the bike six months ago and was doing dangerous stunts on the road to gain publicity on social media. This is not the first time we have encountered such a case. In many of these cases, the police actually revoked the driver’s license and even revoked the bike’s registration.
There are comments suggesting that a similar action was taken against the driver in this case; However, we cannot confirm this. We appreciated the fact that the rider was wearing a proper riding helmet; However, that doesn’t give him the right to act so irresponsibly.
By driving on the wrong side of the road, he not only risked his life, but also the lives of other road users. The chances of him losing control and colliding with an oncoming vehicle were quite high.
We do not recommend anyone to perform such stunts on public roads. If you really want to show off your so-called driving skills, look for a closed road or a private route, as public roads are not suitable for this.
