Kristen Doute has no time for other people’s opinions about her pregnancy journey.
During the premiere of the first season of The valley Last month, Jax Taylor expressed concern about Kristen’s plans to get pregnant and have a child with her long-distance boyfriend. Luke Broderick. “I felt like Jax was just thinking about his own life and didn’t want to deal with all the things that were going on with him,” she said Us on Tuesday, April 9th. “And Jax loves telling other people how to live their lives. So I don’t necessarily think it was about my fertility or actually my decisions about my body, getting pregnant, or Luke and I starting a family. I think it was just Jax’s way of fending off not having to deal with his own stuff.”
Ahead of the reality show’s premiere in March Brittany Cartwright revealed that she and Jax, 44, were taking a break from their marriage and that she had moved to a different home. Season 1 of The valley will document the before and after effects of their breakup, as the show resumed filming after the couple’s breakup news broke.
In a conversation with Luke on the season premiere, Jax explained that he wanted to make sure Kristen was okay with “having a child out of wedlock.” For his part, Luke clarified that he and Kristen have “the same mindset” when it comes to children and that “being a good parent is more important to me than a ring and a wedding.”

(Kristen announced in November 2023 that she had a miscarriage after discovering she had a “non-viable pregnancy.”)
Another thing she and Luke are “figuring out” is their long-distance romance. “He is here [in California] mostly. He only returns to Colorado every now and then,” she said Usand added that if The valley is renewed for Season 2, they plan to “spend some more time in Colorado before we start again.”

Luke made his Bravo debut on The valley earlier this year. Kristen shared how she filmed the reality series Us has not affected their relationship positively or negatively. “I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily brought us closer, but we support each other, and I think our relationship, our foundation is just so much more than reality TV, and maybe that’s why,” she shared .
To prepare for The valley In the premiere, Kristen transformed her body using AirSculpt. “To be honest, when I was back on TV, doing press again and really being thrust into the public eye again, I just wanted to have more confidence in what I was wearing every day, how I was dressing, trying on clothes and looking forward to it. “Something to do press and carpets and all that. So I just wanted to do something about it,” she said Us of the cosmetic procedure.
