Comedians, athletes and reality stars gathered for a roast at the Kia Forum on Sunday Tom Brady. However, the audience’s reaction is on Kim Kardashian felt like a completely separate roast.
When the reality star and SKIMS founder took the stage Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady special – a live roast that aired unedited on Netflix as part of the Netflix Is a Joke comedy festival – she was greeted with loud jeers and boos.
Kardashian weathered the storm of boos and hollers – which was met with cheers to drown out the haters – and eventually the boos died down, allowing Kardashian to move on.
During her roast set, she made fun of several people — including fellow roaster Kevin Hart — before finally getting it done addressed her rumored romance with Brady for the first time.
“I’m really here for Tom tonight,” Kardashian shared, holding a glass of wine. “I didn’t want to come tonight, but since I’m not here as Tom’s date, there’s still a good chance I will.”
“Speaking of Tom and I dating, I know there were some rumors about us dating and I would never say whether we did or not. I would just release the tape,” Kardashian continued.
She also joked that she and Brady didn’t work as a couple because he reminded her too much of it Caitlyn Jenner.
“I know it would never work. A former athlete, high cheekbones, silky hair – you remind me too much of my stepfather now,” Kardashian said. “Part of me thinks you’re trying to undress me just to try on my clothes.”
Brady and Kardashian were briefly romantically linked in June 2023, shortly after Brady’s divorce Gisele Bündchen in October 2022 – that was also the subject of considerable trolling during the Sunday special.
Kardashian got one last, loud laugh as she concluded by remembering her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., and his role in the future OJ Simpsons Legal Department.
“Honestly, it’s hard for me to watch people trash you,” Kardashian said, “but I think enough of my family members have defended former football players.”
After being brutally roasted for three hours, Brady himself took the stage at the end of the night and jokingly fired back at Kardashian with a wild burn, surprising the crowd.
“I know Kim was terrified to be here tonight,” Brady began. “Not because of that, but because her children are at home with their father.”
ET spoke with Brady on the carpet ahead of Sunday’s live roast. and the seven-time Super Bowl champion admitted he was “unprepared for the relentless barrage of ridicule” that came his way, but was excited to see how it all played out.
“I’m going to take it for an hour and 20 minutes, so I think when I get up there I might be in tears or my head will hurt from laughing so hard,” Brady said. “Hopefully it’s just a fun night and I get some good stuff.”
