Kelsea Ballerini turns – unintentionally – strawberry blonde.
The 30-year-old ballerini took to Instagram on Tuesday, April 23, to show off her changing hair color. In the selfie, she held up her blonde hair, which had a subtle hint of red. “A strawberry blonde transformation wasn’t on my bingo card but here we are,” she captioned the post.
While Ballerini gave fans a look at her hair, still damp from swimming, she posed in a triangle bikini top with orange trim and green circles. She accessorized with a tan silk hair tie, three pearl bracelets and a gold necklace.
The country singer is known for her platinum blonde hair, which she showed off at the 2024 CMT Music Awards earlier this month. For the ceremony, she wore a red David Koma dress with a strappy neckline, lace detailing and a flowing pleated skirt. Her strands were parted in the middle and styled into soft curls.
For glamour, ballerini’s make-up artist, Kelsey Deeney Fisher, created a radiant look using all CoverGirl products including Simply Ageless Skin Tint Essence Foundation, Clean Fresh Brow Pomade Filler Pencil, Perfect Point Plus Ink Eyeliner and more. Fisher completed the look with Exhibitionist by Kelsea Ballerini Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow and glossy lips. (Ballerini broke off a collaboration with CoverGirl in November 2023.)
Before the show, Ballerina talked about her preparation process, which included sleeping and going to the sauna Glamor Magazine.
“The dress is red and we wanted that to be the moment, so we tried to keep the makeup simple and light,” Ballerini said after completing her glam look. “And the hair is hair.”
