Zee TV’s upcoming show ‘Main Hoon Saath Tere’ will take its viewers through the journey of single mother Janvi (Ulka Gupta), highlighting the numerous challenges she has to face while also acting as a mother. While her son Kian (Nihan Jain) feels the emptiness of a man in the house, Janvi and wealthy businessman Aryaman (Karan Vohra) cross paths, causing him to fall in love with her. And as a result, he not only tries to conquer his mother, but also Kian’s heart. Considering how he will play a father figure in this series, Karan is excited about the role and feels connected to his real-life role as the father of his twins.
Karan Vohra Reveals How He Deals With Being Nihan’s On-Screen Father In ‘Main Hoon Saath Tere’; says: “I imagine how I would treat my children if they were his age.”
Karan Vohra embraced fatherhood last year and is very excited about this new chapter in his life. It was icing on the cake for him when he took on the role of Aryaman, in which he will also play a father figure on screen. While every actor prepares for their roles in their own way, Karan feels that it is his personal experience that makes it easier for him to shoot with a child. It is indeed a very emotional journey for Karan as his children stay in Delhi and while he is working here in Mumbai, Karan is very lucky to have little Nihan as his co-star.
Talking about it, the actor said, “Last year I was lucky enough to have twins and I must say that there is nothing more fulfilling than being a father.” My children and wife live in Delhi while I shoot in Mumbai. I miss her, but I take some time out between filming to visit her. When I signed up for Main Hoon Saath Tere, I knew that I would be playing a father figure to a child and I was looking forward to it as I got to play a father in the reel life too.” He also added, “Nihan is very hardworking and we hit it off immediately. I treat him like my own child and imagine how I would treat my children if they were his age and react accordingly in the scenes. Off-screen, I try to bond with him and play with him, which will ultimately help us in our scenes together. He loves asking questions and I love answering and teaching him. In a way, I’m preparing myself to be a better father to my children when they are his age.”
Talking about the show based in Gwalior, Main Hoon Saath Tere has Janvi living with her son Kian (Nihan Jain), who is the core of her world. Despite their strong bond, Kian feels the emptiness not only for himself, but especially for his mother, who struggles to cope with everything alone. The show revolves around how Aryaman’s entry helps both of them realize their idea of a perfect family.
Produced by Full House Media, Main Hoon Saath Tere will premiere on Zee TV on April 29 and will continue to air daily thereafter at 7:30 pm.
