Julie Chen Moonves Says Celebrity Big Brother Will Return

Julie Chen Moonves has good news about the status of Celebrity Big Brother.

“I believe it will come back. We usually like to wear it [the] Opposite [of] the Summer Olympics. No, the Winter Olympics,” Chen Moonves, 54, said exclusively Us weekly on Thursday, May 2, during the CBS Fall Schedule Celebration while correcting herself about the scheduling confusion. “In the summer we have the regular one [Big Brother] show.”

Unlike a typical season of Big Brother, the spinoff of the celebrity reality series, includes a shortened season that airs in the winter — usually February. Season 1 premiered in February 2018 and was planned as a counter-program to the Winter Olympics. There have been three seasons so far, the last one aired in 2022.

If Celebrity Big Brother When the series returns at the next Olympics, fans can expect to see the competition series again in February 2026. Even though it’s still a long way off, Chen Moonves is already imagining which stars she’d like to see compete against each other at the Olympics Big Brother A house.

“And what my dream cast would be Snoop Dogg, Martha Stewart, Kim Kardashian, Tom Brady. “I mean, that’s the dream list, right?” she teased Us on Thursday.

In addition to these A-listers, Chen would also like to see Moonves Rupa Enter the house and serve up the drama.

Every season of Celebrity Big Brother features a series of 11 to 12 superstars competing in the iconic reality TV house for a chance to win $250,000. The cast includes a number of notable names from various professions including actors, musicians, athletes, politicians, reality stars and more. Fans will get a glimpse into the celebrity’s life as the show will also air live feeds of the game on Paramount+.

Although Chen Moonves is a long-time host of both series, she doesn’t think she will come into play at any point.

“I would be terrible,” she joked. “I would embarrass myself.”

The presenter admitted she would be “too honest” and “too trusting” in the game and doesn’t think she would be able to handle the game’s varied physical challenges.

The British version, which has the same thing, has been around since 2001 and has a total of 23 seasons.
