Jon Gosselin says he’s lost 32 pounds on his weight loss journey, thanks to a diet that included the generic form of Ozempic and following a specific wellness program.
The Jon & Kate Plus 8 Alum takes semaglutide to ease his weight loss after his girlfriend, Stephanie Lebo I had success with it. Well, as Gosselin, 47, recounted Us weekly exclusively: “I can only eat what I need.”
“So Steph will be like, ‘Do you want a salad?’ I say, ‘No, that’s not going to fill my belly,'” Gosselin explained. “So I’ll just eat the chicken here and count everything.”
“It’s all diet. It’s literally a diet,” he said, along with help from the Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center’s health and wellness program.
Gosselin’s comments came on Thursday, April 25, at the opening of the Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center West Hollywood, where he was a DJ.
Gosselin previously said that his DJ lifestyle caused him to gain 35 pounds, as he often resorted to gas station food near his Pennsylvania home at 3 a.m. after a gig.
Now he has a new regimen that leaves no room for late-night Wawa stops or popular techniques like intermittent fasting.
“Fasting is not good for the body if you want to build muscle,” he explained. “So I only eat six to eight times a day.”
That means he has to pack in the protein, which Gosselin says usually comes in the form of two protein shakes a day, so he gets about 84 grams.
Gosselin added that he tried other weight loss programs, and although he lost 55 pounds by switching to a keto diet, he didn’t “get in shape.” It also didn’t solve other problems, such as his sleep apnea, for which he used a CPAP machine in the past. Gosselin said Lebo reports that he doesn’t snore, even if he falls asleep without the device now.
In addition to semaglutide, Gosselin trains six days a week. On Sundays, when it’s often empty, he enjoys time in the gym and rests on Saturdays.
“Usually I have a big gig or have to travel and I just don’t want to be exhausted,” he said of his weekends.
Then come his nutritional supplements. Gosselin explained that after years of high blood pressure, he was finally seeing results from switching to organic medications.
“I took losartan and hydralazine for 10 years and [my blood pressure] never fell,” he said. “And then suddenly I take Carditone and it wears off. It’s crazy. All these things, everything is happening at once.”
More could soon happen for Gosselin. He and Lebo have been together since 2021 and Gosselin says a marriage proposal is on the horizon.
“Oh, I’m definitely proposing,” he said. “I’m getting married. I hope she… I think she’ll say yes.”
