While Jon Bon Jovi And Dorothea Hurley They fell in love at a young age and overcame their marital problems.

While they were together in the ’80s, the musician formed his band Bon Jovi. Jon and Hurley briefly split in 1985 as the rock band grew in popularity. The two rekindled their romance and tied the knot in Las Vegas while Bon Jovi was on tour.
“We had the No. 1 album, the No. 1 single and played three nights at the Forum in LA,” Jon said Men’s health in 2010. “I turned to Dorothea and said, ‘I have an idea.’ Why don’t we get going now?’ She said, ‘You’re crazy.’ I said, ‘Come on.’ What could be better than that, right now, in this moment?’ And so we ran to Las Vegas. Didn’t tell a soul.”
Jon and Hurley have been together ever since. However, the singer has been open about his difficulties balancing his marriage with the rock star lifestyle.

Know what they have
Jon shared that Hurley knew full well what she was getting into as the wife of a rock star.
“I’ve been in one of the biggest rock bands in the world for 25 years,” he said in a 2007 interview with best life Magazine. “It’s not like Dorothea walked in in the middle of the movie and didn’t know who she had.”
The Grammy winner confessed that his wife was enough for him and that the thought of “trading or swapping” his partner never occurred to him.
“I don’t have a lover by my side or any other family across town,” he said at the time. “You will never read this story about me. I have no regard for this whole lifestyle.”
Being there for eachother
While he was going through a difficult time in his life, he was grateful to have Hurley by his side.
“It felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders,” he recalled The mirror in 2016. “Without her, I’m not sure how I would have coped. A lot of it added up and a snowflake became an avalanche. I’m proud to say I’ve been with a band my whole life, a record label my whole life, and a woman my whole life.”
Working through your problems
“I got away with murder. “I’m a rock ‘n’ roll star, I’m not a saint,” Jon recalled in an interview with ABC News. “You know, I’m not saying there haven’t been 100 girls in my life – I’m Jon Bon Jovi. It was pretty good.”
Despite his rock star status, the singer stressed that he would never do anything “stupid” that would “jeopardize” his relationship with Hurley.
“There’s no doubt in my mind that this world turns because of her,” he continued, noting how his wife cared for their four children during his trip: Stephanie, Jesse, Jake and Romeo. “Because of what she did to make the children feel good, what she does to make me feel good, what we do together to keep it right. There is no doubt about that.”
Jon explained that Hurley isn’t afraid to call him out when he needs it while also supporting him in his lowest points.
“She’s there even when I fall. And I’ll be there for her if she falls,” he said. “No matter where I went in my career, whether there were ups or downs, we did it together.”
Stay happy
In an interview with Fox Digital in April 2024, Jon teased that he had “somehow” become the “poster boy of a long-married rock star.”
“I think it’s just the mutual admiration society. I think it’s as simple as that,” he said at the time. “You wake up in the morning and look forward to being together. And we admire each other. And we respect each other. It’s a pleasure to do it. It’s a pleasure to be a part of it.”
