JoJo Siwa says she thinks Dancing mothers to a certain extent “detrimental” to her career.
In the latest episode of her podcast JoJo Siwa Nowthe 20-year-old “Karma” singer spoke about the recently aired show Dance Moms: The Reunion particularly on Lifetime and made the revelation that while she is forever grateful for the original series, there are parts that she still struggles with to this day.
“Today we’re kind of going back to what started for me and how I became a public person, but something that I think was really detrimental to my career and was huge for me for what it was.” Dancing mothers” she says at the beginning of the episode.
She continues: “We had this Dancing mothers Reunion just happens and that Dancing mothers Reunion, you know, it was definitely a mixed bag for me.
While Siwa doesn’t go into detail as to why exactly she considers the show – which brought her notoriety and into the public eye – to be “detrimental” to her career, she does go into explaining the reason why in the episode Departure in the middle of season 6.
The singer – who was recently faked by Saturday Night Live actor Chloe Fineman – shares that she was presented with another opportunity while filming the hit reality TV series, which she doesn’t name but is rumored to be her contract with Nickelodeon. She tells her listeners that it was more about wanting the job than ending the season with it Abby Lee Miller and the other girls.

She continued, “It’s a massive part of my career that I will always and forever be so incredibly grateful for.”
