Jessica Alba Rings in Her Birthday with Her Daughters After Honestly Leaving Her Company

Jessica Alba She celebrated her 43rd birthday surrounded by family and close friends, just weeks after leaving the Honest Company, where she said she felt “so alone.”

Sharing snaps of the big day on Instagram, she wrote: “Another trip around the sun. I feel incredibly blessed and grateful.”

The celebration comes less than a few weeks after Alba stepped down from her beloved Honest Company, which she founded after 12 years at the helm and described as “my baby.”

She announced the move on April 10 via Instagram, leaving many of her fans and followers of the lifestyle brand upset with the news.

“Twelve years after founding The Honest Company, it is with gratitude that I step down from my leadership role as Chief Creative Officer,” she began in her April 9 open letter. “I know we have a leadership team.” Carla Vernon at the helm to advance our founding vision and strengthen Honest’s legacy as an industry changer.”

Alba also previously admitted that running the company had its challenges and she often felt lonely.

“I just felt so alone on this journey,” Alba said on CNN’s “Boss Files With Poppy Harlow” podcast.

Alba admitted that it was difficult to assert herself: “It’s hard when you’re the only woman in the room, in the boardroom,” she said. The star has not revealed what ventures she will undertake next.
