Jeep Compass Night Eagle Launched at Rs. 25.39 Lakh

Jeep has introduced a new variant of the Compass in India, the Night Eagle. This new variant is priced at Rs 25.39 lakh. This edition is a special, limited model that differs from the standard versions with a unique, all-black design. The Night Eagle is based on the Longitude (O) variant and offers a number of additional features in addition to the all-black design.

The Compass Night Eagle features a distinctive blacked-out exterior, including grille, roof rails and 18-inch alloy wheels, complemented by exclusive Night Eagle badging. This design approach is similar to that of the Compass Black Shark, particularly in the alloy wheels and black roof. The all-black theme continues into the interior of the vehicle. This black treatment gives the SUV a mafia and sporty look.

Jeep has made no compromises when it comes to the equipment of the Compass Night Eagle Edition. The SUV comes standard with front and rear dash cameras for increased safety, a rear entertainment unit to entertain passengers, premium carpet mats, underbody lighting, ambient lights to set the mood and an air purifier to ensure the cabin air stays clean and fresh.

It also comes with a panoramic sunroof, connected car technology and a wireless charger. The Night Eagle Edition is offered in three unique color options: Black, White and Red, giving buyers the choice to select a shade that best suits their style.

Under the hood, the Jeep Compass Night Eagle is powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine that produces 170 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual transmission and a 9-speed torque converter automatic. The Compass Night Eagle Edition is only available with the front-wheel drive (FWD) option. On the other hand, the top of the line regular Compass offers 4×4 capabilities.

The Jeep Compass places a strong emphasis on safety with features such as a 5-star Euro NCAP crash test rating, six airbags (driver, passenger, side curtain, seat-mounted), ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist and tires Pressure monitoring system (TPMS), 360-degree camera and a rear view camera. Higher trims offer advanced driver assistance features (ADAS) such as forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and blind spot monitoring.

Prices for the Jeep Compass start at Rs. 20.69 Lakhs and go up to Rs. 32.27 Lakhs. This price makes it one of the most expensive cars in the Indian compact SUV segment. Talking about Compass Night Eagle price, the manual version is available for Rs. 25.04 Lakhs and the AT version costs Rs. 27.04 Lakhs. Please note that all prices quoted are ex-showroom.

The SUV competes with a range of vehicles including the MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV700, but also premium models such as the Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen Tiguan and Citroen C5 Aircross.

The Night Eagle Edition in particular competes with special editions from competitors such as the Tata Harrier Dark Edition MG Hector Blackstormand that Napoli Black variants of the Mahindra XUV700which are completely black in their top models.
