The scene in question showed Mallikajaan’s cruelty as she strangled Phatto bi while refusing her request. Talking about the intense moment, Jayati revealed, “This scene had to portray Mallikajaan’s cruelty and Sanjay sir wanted to show how effortlessly menacing she can be and wouldn’t even spare someone who has been so loyal to her for years.”
Originally conceived as a slap scene, Jayati revealed to Manisha Koirala’s concerns about making her uncomfortable during filming. Despite Jayati’s assurances, Manisha remained vigilant about her co-star’s well-being. Eventually, the scene evolved into a captivating portrayal of Mallikajaan’s character, highlighting her complex nature.
Jayati also expressed her admiration for Manisha Koirala and described her as an inspiring figure both on and off screen.
