Jax Taylor spills some tea about his relationship Brittany Cartwright.
While the couple is currently separated, further Tuesday’s episode from The valley Their marriage was still intact, so much so that Jax decided to reveal the most public place they ever had sex.
The revelation came while Jax was at Jason and Janet Caperna’s hibachi and game night, which Brittany left early due to illness. During the couples game, Zack Wickham stood in for Brittany as she answered questions.
When the question about sex in public spaces came up, Zack correctly answered “New York City” on Brittany’s behalf. Jax confirmed this before getting more specific and revealing that he and Brittany had previously met in Times Square.
“Brittany and I were in Times Square in New York and we just went for it,” he said. “This was obviously in the early stages of our relationship.”
Many years and one child later, the relationship went downhill. Earlier that evening, Jax berated Brittany for drinking a shot of sake, which made her feel sick.
“I had a sake shot,” Brittany told the cameras. “It was my first drink that damn night. He snaps at me, it’s so hard to be someone’s punching bag all the time. That’s not fair.”
“She knew this could jeopardize her well-being, but she did it anyway,” Jax said in his own confessional. “This has been happening for 10 years!”
Later in the episode, Jax spoke about his arguments with Brittany.
“We’ve been arguing more and more lately,” he said. “It’s just starting to take its toll. The arguments now outweigh normal conversations. It gets a little scary.”
Months later, Brittany announced their separation by Jax, and The valley replied by pick up the cameras to cushion the consequences for the end of the first season. Midst Rumors about the reason for their separationBrittany addressed the situation in an interview with ET and admitted that she had reached her “breaking point” with Jax.
“I want to be clear that this is not a publicity stunt. I think that would be the most disgusting way to publicize your show, so I want to be very clear that that’s not the case here,” Jax told ET in a separate interview. “People go through difficult things in their marriage, we try to figure things out a little bit. But that doesn’t stop us from working together. We are adults.”
Then, during a performance Watch what happens live with Andy Cohen, Brittany shared that a “terrible fight” led to the breakup, explaining: “It was as if a veil was lifted and I realized everything was wrong.”
When ET spoke with Jax at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, he gave an update about the status of his and Brittany’s relationship.
“We’re just trying to figure things out,” he said. “I gave you real time, I don’t know what’s going to happen. I’m definitely working on myself right now.”
He added: “The breakup was definitely good for me, but I miss her. I miss her a lot. So, I don’t know, we’ll see if she takes me back.”
