Saturday Night Live concludes season 49 with a bang!
On May 2, NBC announced the lineup for the final two shows of the season. On May 11th SNL alum Maya Rudolph will return to host the show for the third time alongside musical guest Vampire Weekend.
One week later, Jake Gyllenhaal will also be hosting for the third time Sabrina Carpenter accompanies him as a musical guest.
But before all that, Dua Lipa will pull double duty as both host and musical guest on May 4 as she continues to promote her upcoming third studio album. Radical optimism.
“DOUBLE DUTY DUA,” the “Levitating” singer previously wrote on Instagram one day after the release of “Illusion” the new song from the highly anticipated release.
The hosting gig immediately follows the release of Radical optimismwhich the singer first announced in March.

The 49th season also featured presenters and musical guest appearances Josh Brolin, Ariana Grande, Emma Stone And Sydney Sweeney.
The NBC sketch comedy show premiered its 49th season on October 14th and brought SNL alum Pete Davidson back to Studio 8H to host the premiere. SNL Was forced to go dark and cancel season 48 due to the Writers Guild of America strike. However, after the WGA reached an agreement with the AMPTP, Saturday Night Live was able to return to television.

SNL Episode 1 – October 14, 2023
Pete Davidson hosted the season premiere alongside the evening’s musical guest, rapper Ice Spice. The Stupid money Star left the series after season 47, after eight seasons – during which he was the youngest cast member in most seasons. Davidson joined the show when he was just 20 years old and was perhaps best known for his low-key “Weekend Update” appearances.
SNL Episode 2 – October 21, 2023
Bad Bunny took on dual duties as host and musical guest on October 21st. He previously appeared in season 46, during an episode hosted by Regé-Jean Page, in which he appeared as an old sailor in one of the most memorable skits of the evening.
SNL Episode 3 – October 28, 2023
Acclaimed comedian Nate Bargatze – best known for his GRAMMY-nominated stand-up show, The tallest average American – made his debut SNL Hosted his appearance on October 28th. He was joined by the Foo Fighters, making their ninth appearance as musical guests and returning to Studio 8H for the first time since Season 46.
SNL Episode 4 – November 11, 2023
Timothée Chalamet returned to the USA SNL stage on November 11th. The Wonka Star hosted the sketch comedy series back in December 2020, during season 46. This time Chalamet was accompanied by musical guest Boygenius.
SNL Episode 5 – November 18, 2023
Hosted by Jason Momoa SNL for the second time on November 18, with Tate McRae making her musical guest debut.
SNL Episode 6 – December 2, 2023
Oscar winner Emma Stone joined the show’s prestigious Five-Timers Club, having hosted four times and made two memorable guest appearances. Stone was joined by first musical guest Noah Kahan.
SNL Episode 7 – December 9, 2023
Adam Driver returned as host for the fourth time on December 9th in support of his upcoming biopic. Ferrari. Meanwhile, Olivia Rodrigo made her second appearance as a musical guest.
SNL Episode 8 – December 16, 2023
Kate McKinnon returned to Studio 8H as presenter for the first time since her departure SNL at the end of season 47 in 2022. She was joined by Billie Eilish as the third musical guest.
SNL Episode 9 – January 20, 2024
The Priscilla Stern made his SNL Debut and hosted the first episode of the new year. He was joined by a musical guest Renee Rappjust a week after the release of her feature film debut, in which she plays Regina George in the musical reimagining of Mean Girls — and a Special appearance by Megan Thee Stallion on her Mean Girls Collaboration with Rapp, “Not My Fault.”
SNL Episode 10 – January 27, 2024
Dakota Johnson hosted SNL for the second time, with Justin Timberlake as the episode’s musical guest. Timberlake returned to Studio 8H for the first time since December 2013. He previously served as host five times and appeared on the show six times, including his March 2000 debut with *NSYNC.
SNL Episode 11 – February 3, 2024
Newly crowned Emmy and Golden Globe winner Ayo Edebiri made it SNL Hosting debut on February 3rd. The bear Star appeared alongside musical guest Jennifer Lopez, who was making her fifth appearance on the variety series.
SNL Episode 12 – February 24, 2024
Standup comedian Shane Gillis – who originally took part SNL Season 45, before being fired for racist and homophobic jokes – returned to 30 Rock as host, along with musical guest 21 Savage.
SNL Episode 13 – March 2, 2024
euphoria Star Sydney Sweeney made her hosting debut on March 2nd, while country star Kacey Musgraves took the musical stage. The appearance marked Musgraves’ third appearance SNL – She made history in 2021 by becoming the first artist ever to appear nude on the late night show.
SNL Episode 14 – March 9, 2024
Josh Brolin returned to SNL for his third hosting appearance on March 9th. Ariana Grande served as musical guest, having previously performed and hosted in 2014 And Appearance in 2016.
SNL Episode 15 – March 30, 2024
Ramy Youssef directed SNL for the first time for the Easter show on March 30th Poor things Star was joined by “Goosebumps” rapper Travis Scott, who previously appeared with guest host Awkwafina in 2018.
SNL Episode 16 – April 6, 2024
Kristen Wiig, seven years old SNL Alum, now considered one of the all-time greats, joined the famous Five-Timers Club on April 6th. She hosted with musical guest RAYE, making her debut on the long-running series.
SNL Episode 17 – April 13, 2024
After a hugely successful appearance at the Oscars and his new film, The Guy caseGosling, who debuted at SXSW to rave reviews, hosted the April 13 show alongside Chris Stapleton. The hosting gig was Gosling’s third and Stapleton’s second.
SNL Episode 18 – May 4, 2024
Just a day after releasing her third studio album, Radical optimismThe Oscar-nominated singer-songwriter will appear as both host and musical guest on May 4th. She already appeared as a musical guest in 2021.
SNL Episode 16 – May 11, 2024
Hosted by Maya Rudolph SNL for the third time on May 11th with Vampire Weekend as musical guest. Rudolph was part of the series’ main cast from 2000 to 2007 SNL is preparing for its 50th anniversary, the comedian recently told ET that she thought “so much” about the milestone. She said: “It’s such a big deal and I feel like it’s my home and I feel like it’s going to be a huge celebration.”
SNL Episode 17 – May 11, 2024
Also return to the host SNL Jake Gyllenhaal is there for the third time. The actor is accompanied by musical guest Sabrina Carpenter. Gyllenhaal previously hosted the comedy sketch show in 2007 and 2022.
