Here’s what Drake posted

In the early hours of Thursday, May 9, Drake took to his Instagram Story to share a video. The clip appeared to show him watching the first few minutes of the first episode of the miniseries “A Man in Full.” According to IMDb, the series follows the life of a real estate mogul facing bankruptcy and “trying to defend his empire from those seeking to capitalize on his fall.”

In the clip, the main character can be seen lying on the floor while his thoughts are told to the viewer:

“I don’t mean that as a criticism. [Or] maybe I’ll do it. But will people notice if you die? When I leave, many people will leave many memories of me. Many who hate me [but] Nevertheless, a person must live with vigor. Otherwise, what would be the point?”

Social media users responded to Drake’s post in the comments section of The Shade Room. Many seemed to interpret the video as Drake Lamar admitting defeat.

Instagram user @iannoh.__ wrote: I’m glad he agreed that Kendrick won 🏆😂”

While Instagram user @38rcj added, Losing to Kendrick isn’t even a bad thing because he’s also considered one of the greatest. Now it would have been a problem to lose to someone like Meek 🤣”

While Instagram user @najtaughtme added:Let’s be honest: everyone still beat Drake because he is a TOP artist in every sense of the word… win, lose or draw. Kendrick won and Drake got his first L.”

However, not all celebrities agreed that Drizzy was defeated. Questlove also made headlines after declaring that “no one won” in the month-long rap beef.

A quick recap of the rap dispute between Drake and Kendrick Lamar

As The Shade Room previously reported, Drake and Lamar’s feud appeared to spark in March after Lamar shared bars for the 6 God during his appearance on Metro Boomin and Future’s single “Like That.”

In response, Drake fired back at Lamar with a dissident track titled “Push Ups,” according to The Shade Room. Then, a few days later, Drake doubled down on his bars for Lamar by releasing his dissident “Taylor Made Freestyle.” The track featured AI-generated vocals from Snoop Dogg and the late rapper Tupac Shakur, according to The Shade Room.

In response, Lamar released a six-minute dissident track for Drizzy titled “Euphoria.” At that point, the rappers’ battle seemed to intensify when Lamar threatened to reveal the truth about Drake, according to The Shade Room.

But Lamar didn’t stop there. Days later, the rapper followed up with another dissident track in the direction of Drizzy titled “6:16 In LA,” according to The Shade Room. Lamar appeared to mock Drake by using his signature timestamps in the song’s title.

From there, the rappers’ beef caught fire. Drake released his dissident song “Family Matters” and accused Lamar of abusing his fiancée while claiming that one of their children may not be Lamar’s biological child, according to The Shade Room.

Shortly after, Lamar responded with “Meet The Grahams,” in which he accused Drizzy of hiding an 11-year-old daughter from the world and being a “predator.”

Lamar didn’t slow down for Drake. Shortly thereafter, according to The Shade Room, he released the dissident song “Not Like Us” in which he further expanded on his accusations against Drake.

The rapper accused Drizzy of being a pedophile and advised women to hide their little sisters’ children from him. Additionally, Lamar accused Drake of leaning on certain Atlanta rappers to boost his career.

In response, Drizzy released “The Heart Part 6,” in which he claimed that Lamar’s accusation that he had another child was passed to him as false information, according to The Shade Room.

“You waited for this moment, overwhelmed by despair. We made plans for a week and then gave you the information. A daughter who’s eleven years old, I bet he can handle it. We thought about giving a fake name or destination. But you’re so thirsty that you don’t care about the investigation,” he is said to have knocked.

Additionally, Drake denied having relationships with underage girls.

Additionally, Drizzy continued to make allegations that one of Lamar’s children was not biologically his child.
