South Korean group VERIVERY [DONGHEON, HOYOUNG, MINCHAN, GYEHYEON, YEONHO, YONGSEUNG, KANGMIN] spread its vibrant energy worldwide! Formed in 2019 by Jellyfish Entertainment, the seven-member group is known for regularly releasing fresh music and captivating audiences with diverse themes. Since their debut, they have actively participated in music shows, held concert tours and continued to impress with each comeback. VERIVERY’s latest music offering, mini album Liminality – EP.Dream released on May 16, 2023. This year they are embarking on a highly anticipated fan meeting tour in the United States, GO ON, beginning in May 2024 in Seoul, South Korea.
INTERVIEW: K-pop group VERIVERY talks US tour and pre-concert rituals; tease special performance
After stops in Hong Kong and Tokyo, the tour turns its attention to the United States, with concerts planned in six different cities. Here’s a twist: For the US portion, only four members – GYEHYEON, YEONHO, YONGSEUNG, KANGMIN – will take the stage. Recently VERIVERY sat down with media companies including Bollywood Hungamato discuss the upcoming tour. They delved into their preparation process, shared insights into their unique pre-show rituals, and even hinted at exciting plans for the future!
The few minutes before entering the stage are crucial. These moments are intense and one must maintain a calm demeanor before taking the stage to ensure the performances go smoothly afterwards. Oftentimes, artists sing, huddle together, or perform a ritual before going on stage. When Bollywood Hungama When VERIVERY asked if they had any, member GYEHYEON replied, “We have a chant that we sing as a group before we go on stage.” We link our pinky and thumb together and shout “Fight” together.
A tour is a medium for artists to meet their fans from different parts of the world. To express their gratitude, the artists prepare songs and stages as gifts for their fans. We asked the group what songs they were looking forward to playing on this concert tour. KANGMIN enthusiastically replied, “During this tour, we will present:O‘, a song we briefly promoted.”‘O‘ is a track from her 2022 12-track album series ‘O’. [Round 3: Whole]. There haven’t been many live performances for this track, so it will definitely be a treat for fans to experience the song live and reminisce.

A four-member subgroup consisting of GYEHYEON, YEONHO, YONGSEUNG and KANGMIN will embark on a six-city tour in New York on June 14th. Fans can expect high-energy performances in Chicago, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Fort Worth and Los Angeles. This marks VERIVERY’s return to the US since their “VERIVERY CONCERT PAGE: O IN US & LATIN AMERICA” tour in 2022. The announcement comes following their electrifying performance at KCON LA 2023.
