In a recent interaction with India Today, Ileana D’Cruz spoke about her comeback performance and revealed how it triggered her mother’s guilt more than ever. The diva revealed a special episode a few days back when she was overcome with emotions while driving with her son. Ileana noticed her son Koa crying terribly as he sat in the back seat of the car. Ileana added how she cried at home:

“It’s very hard. I don’t think mom’s guilt ever really goes away. Just yesterday I was visiting my mom. I was driving home and my kid was screaming in the back seat. At one point I stopped, went back to him, held him I sat tight for a while trying to calm him down but when I put him back in his car seat he started screaming. I had to drive with him crying in the backseat for at least 10 minutes before he fell asleep because he was so tired Home and cried.”

Ileana revealed how her husband helped her deal with feeling like she was the worst mother

Continuing her story, Ileana mentioned that once she got back home, she couldn’t stop blaming herself for being a terrible mother since she had to put her son in the back seat, which resulted in him constantly howled. However, she noted that her husband Michael patiently made it clear to her that everything would be okay in the end. She said:

“I cried so much and my husband was like, ‘Listen, it’s okay.’ I felt like the worst parent in the world while my child cried in the backseat. But I couldn’t help it. I just had to get home because I knew the sooner I got home, the calmer he would be. So I feel like Mom’s guilt really won’t go away.”

Well, being a working mother is quite difficult and Ileana also faces the danger of leaving her son Koa behind when she leaves for work. However, the actress revealed that she can take the bold step because her husband Michael Dolan is staying with their son and she believes her bundle of joy will be in the best hands.

The actress described him as her constant from day one and expressed that Michael has been with her since day one and has accompanied her in all situations. Ileana became emotional and added:

“Married life is going wonderfully. It’s really hard to say what I love most about him. I really have to think because every time I find an answer I feel like the next day there’s something else that you know will beat this. He has been with me through my worst times, my absolute worst times. He also accompanied me through some of my best times. He was just consistent from day one. He’s just a constant support and knows me inside and out. I don’t know anyone who understood me like he did. He notices immediately when I’m upset. It’s amazing how he does everything to make me smile. I get a little emotional because he just wants to make me happy and that’s rare.”
