Formula 1 makes its first of three visits to the United States this weekend for its third-ever Miami Grand Prix. Miami was chosen by Formula 1 this year as one of six venues for a sprint weekend. Today Red Bull’s Max Verstappen wants to win his fifth race of the season at the Miami International Autodrome.

Verstappen has won the first two rounds of the Miami GP and goes into today’s race as the overwhelming favorite. The three-time world champion has been dominant so far and is 25 points ahead of second-placed Sergio Perez in the drivers’ championship.

The F1 Miami Grand Prix takes place on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 3:55 p.m. ET (12:55 p.m. PT). Coverage of the race begins at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN and then moves to ABC at 3:30 p.m
