EXCLUSIVE: Helena Howard (Madeline’s Madeline), Bella Thorne (deity), Zion Moreno (gossip Girl), Chloe Cherry (euphoria) and Sophia Ali (Unexplored) have stopped production Find your friendsa thriller that marks the feature film debut of actress and filmmaker Izabel Pakzad.
Other actors in the film include Chris Bauer (The cable), Jake Manley (The order), Israel Broussard (Happy death anniversary), Harrison Sloan Gilbertson (Oppenheimer) and Blaine Kern III (Accused).
Written by Pakzad, Find your friends She watches as Amber and her four best friends take a trip to escape the LA bubble and spend the weekend in Joshua Tree. But when they arrive, they quickly realize that the locals don’t want them there. As the hostile environment escalates, our girls find themselves belittled by their aggressive neighbor, dismissed by the police, and apparently even stalked by some local men. But when her friends uncover Amber’s past trauma, they grow tired of the inevitable toxic masculinity and little do they know that their fun trip will turn into a revenge trip.
Previously Find your friendsPakzad wrote, directed and starred Don’t worry, everything will be fine, a proof-of-concept short film based on her original screenplay, which won Best Short Film at the LA Film Festival and starred in several other short films. Welcome To Italy SRL produced the feature in collaboration with WWPS.TV, Walters Media Group and Angry Cloud. Producers are Allison Friedman, Andrea Iervolino, Monika Bacardi, Gary Michael Walters and Luca Matrundola. Thorne serves as executive producer. CAA handles domestic sales while Fortitude handles international sales.
“Making this film is a dream come true,” Pakzad told Deadline. “Six years ago something crazy happened to me in the desert… so I decided to write a script and make a film about it. I am so grateful to my amazing team of producers, cast and crew for helping me bring this story to life.”
