“Eagle Eye” Shaw said: “Returning to Hanoi as defending champion fills me with absolute joy.”

“Competing in Vietnam last year and witnessing the ‘Hanoi hype’ first hand was second to none.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to showcase my skills in front of such a passionate pool community and I look forward to taking it all in again.”

The tournament will see 256 players compete for $200,000 in prize money over six days from October 8th to 13th. Sky Sports will broadcast the last two days of this year’s championship live.

The aim of this year’s event is to build on the overwhelming success of the opening event, where 3,000 fans were present for the finale.
