Gurucharan Singh’s Father Shares His Emotional Turmoil After His Son Went Missing: ‘Hum Sab Bahut…’

Gurucharan Singh, known for portraying the role of “Roshan Singh Sodhi” in the sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah ChasmahHe’s been missing for two weeks. The actor, who was supposed to return to Mumbai on April 22, 2024 after his father’s birthday celebrations, went missing after leaving his home for the airport. Even after days of investigation, the police officers are unable to determine his whereabouts.

Gurucharan Singh’s father says the family is eagerly waiting for his return

Additionally, there was speculation that the actor staged his own disappearance. Amid all this, Gurucharan’s father Hargit Singh expressed concern about his missing son. Speaking to Times of India, the actor’s father said that the entire family has been going through a lot of emotional turmoil and is eagerly waiting for Gurucharan’s return. Gurucharan’s father shared that they were waiting for an update from the authorities and said:

“What happened is very shocking, we don’t know how to deal with it. We are all very concerned and eagerly await an update from the police. We’re waiting for him to come back.”

Gurucharan Singh commemorated his father’s birthday on Instagram

Before his disappearance, Gurucharan used his Instagram account to commemorate his father’s birthday. He shared a beautiful picture with his father and wrote a heartfelt note along with it. He wrote: “Very divine birthday dad,” followed by three emojis.

Gurucharan Singh’s father had filed a missing person report

Earlier, Gurucharan’s father had filed a missing person report with the Delhi Police just days after his disappearance. The report mentioned that his 50-year-old son left home at 8:30 am on April 22, 2024 to catch his flight to Mumbai, but he neither reached Mumbai nor returned home. The statement can be read as follows:

“My son Gurucharan Singh, age 50, had left for Mumbai on April 22 at 8:30 am. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He has not reached Mumbai, nor has he returned home and his phone is unreachable. He is mentally stable and we have been looking for him, but now he is missing!”

Gurucharan’s friend Bhakti Soni says she should have picked him up from the airport

Meanwhile, in an interview with TOI, it was said that Gurucharan’s friend Bhakti Soni, who has been friends with the actor for 10 years, was supposed to pick him up from Mumbai airport. However, when Gurucharan didn’t show up at the agreed time, she called him to find out what was going on but couldn’t reach him. Recalling how she thought Gurucharan might have canceled his trip at the last minute, she said:

“I went to the airport and waited for him, but he didn’t come. I tried calling him but I couldn’t reach him. So I thought he canceled his trip at the last minute. The next day I found out he was nowhere to be found. I am now in touch with Gurucharan’s mother. She calls his friends to see if he has contacted any of us. We hope the police can get some information. We are waiting for his return.”

Delhi Police stated that Gurucharan Singh may have planned his own disappearance

Earlier, a News18 report said that Delhi Police found that Gurucharan left his phone behind in Palam area. They said this made their investigation even more difficult as the actor did not have a phone with him. Using CCTV footage, police also established that he was seen moving from one rickshaw to another. They further stated that Gurucharan had planned everything and moved out of Delhi.
