GT vs RCB: “The Moment the Powerplay Ended, Virat Kohli Slowed Down…” – Jadeja’s Scathing Remark

Former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja commented on Virat Kohli’s batting approach during the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Ajay Jadeja noted that Virat Kohli started with an aggressive approach but was slower to score after the powerplay.

The Royal Challengers managed to put up a total of 207 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday, April 25. Virat Kohli scored 51 runs off 43 balls, including four boundaries and a six. The visiting team restricted Hyderabad to 171/8 and secured a 35-run win.

Virat Kohli made an explosive start in the Powerplay, scoring 32 runs in the first 18 balls. However, he lost momentum and managed only 19 runs from the 25 balls he faced outside the powerplay. This performance has sparked a debate in the cricket community about his strike rate.

Virat Kohli seemed to be in a different mood – Ajay Jadeja

Ajay Jadeja pointed out that Virat Kohli started aggressively, similar to SunRisers Hyderabad’s strategy. Jadeja stated that after a promising start, Kohli has slowed down given RCB’s rigid batting strategy.

“When Virat Kohli started, he seemed to be in a completely different mood. When he scored around 24 in the first 11-12 balls, we felt that RCB was doing what SRH had done to other teams. But the main difference between SRH and RCB is that as they progressed, RCB slowed down. Maybe they didn’t aim so high. Jadeja said at Jio Cinema.

“Talking about Kohli’s consistency is like explaining the existence of the sun. The moment the power play ended, he slowed down. It could perhaps be because RCB lost two wickets. Sometimes it looks like RCB is very stubborn about its role. “Don’t know will always come out in the end. And RCB is pulling the handbrake.” he added.

The 35-year-old leads the batting list in the 17th season of the Indian Premier League. He has scored 430 runs in nine matches at an average of 61.43 and a strike rate of 145.76. Despite his success, his team is struggling at the bottom of the table, having won just two games.

Virat Kohli transformed – RP Singh

Former India fast bowler RP Singh highlighted Virat Kohli’s transformation during the powerplay and noted his aggressive batting. However, Singh explained that Kohli’s pace slowed down after the fall of a wicket.

“He changed on the power play. You don’t normally see shots like that from him anymore. He takes his time, positions himself and plays after the ball. He went on to attack well. He tried to disrupt the line length of the bowlers but as the wicket fell he went slow. said RP Singh at Jio Cinema.

Kohli helped the RCB team reach 61/1 in the powerplay. However, Kohli surprisingly didn’t hit any boundaries between the ages of 7 and 15. Rajat Patidar reached his half-century in just 20 balls while the former RCB captain struggled at the other end.

The Bengaluru-based team will face Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans (GT) in their next match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, April 28.
