Television starlet Arti Singh tied the knot with the love of her life Dipak Chauhan on April 25, 2024 at the ISKCON Temple. Their D-Day was one of the most sought-after weddings in recent times and people were particularly waiting for Govinda’s presence at the ceremony. For the uninitiated, Govinda and his wife Sunita were upset with Arti’s elder brother Krushna Abhishek and her Bhabhi, Cashmere.
It all started in 2018 when Kashmera tweeted about people dancing for money. Sunita did not like this controversial remark as she thought it was directed at her husband Govinda. Things soon turned ugly between the family and Govinda and Sunita cut ties with Krushna and Kashmera. However, the eight-year-old family feud was put to rest when Govinda attended Arti Singh’s wedding.

Kashmera Shah revealed that Govinda didn’t let her touch his feet
Ever since the news of Arti’s wedding broke, everyone was excited to know whether Govinda would attend the ceremony. Talking about this, Kashmera shared that she would touch Govinda’s feet and ask for blessings if he came. However, in a recent conversation with TOI, Kashmera shared that Govinda did not allow her to touch his feet but instead blessed her and hugged her children. In her words:
“I bowed with a namaste and he smiled back. I walked up to him and immediately brought him onto the stage. I bent down to touch his feet but he didn’t let me, just like elders stop one from bending down. And before that he said, “Jeete raho, khush raho”. That’s the apology I had to make. Was it for me. We don’t have any elder in the family except him and he is my mama-sasur. I am so happy that he blessed my children.
Kashmera added that she hoped Govinda would attend Arti’s wedding as the family dispute was always between them and Arti was not involved in it. She added that she received Govinda at the entrance and was very happy about his presence. Kashmera further added:
“He was angry with Krushna and me, but not with Arti. I hoped he attended the ceremony for her and I’m glad he did. As luck would have it, I was the only one present at the entrance greeting the guests as he entered while Krushna was on stage with Arti. He and I walked on opposite sides and it honestly felt surreal.

Kashmera Shah’s reaction to Sunita Ahuja not attending Arti’s wedding
Although Govinda and his son Yashvardhan attended Arti’s wedding, his wife Sunita missed the ceremony. Talking about it, Kashmera shared that Sunita’s anger was justified. Kashmera also revealed that she would resolve the issues with Sunita later and the women of the family would sort out the difference in their own way as they both are alpha females.
