A source tells ET, “Gisele was upset and hurt by some of the jokes about her and her relationship with her [boyfriend] Joaquim [Valente]and her wedding to Tom during his roast.” The source added: “Her main concern is always her children and her family and she wants to protect them.” She found some of the jokes tasteless and disrespectful.

Bündchen also said, “I really don’t want to make my life a tabloid. I don’t want to open myself up to all that.”
As ET reported In February, a source said Bündchen and Valente had gone from friends to romantic partners. The source also said that the relationship between them gradually evolved since they initially bonded as friends.
In the same interview with The timesBündchen said their new relationship is so unique because they started out as friends.
“This is the first time I’m meeting someone I was friends with first,” she told the outlet. “It’s completely different. It’s very honest and very transparent.”
