Gigi Hadid took us back to 1950s Hollywood with her Met Gala red carpet look! While gracing the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, May 6, the 29-year-old model showed off her floral dress that fit the 2024 theme: “The Garden of Time,” which is what the commercial said The Costume Institute exhibit “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” contributed to the event.
While posing for photos, Gigi showed off her short, 50s-style blonde hairstyle. As for her dress, the white ensemble featured small off-the-shoulder straps and a mermaid fit. The entire dress was embroidered with green and black branch-like patterns with flowers to reflect the “Garden of Time” theme. Gigi completed her look with ruby red lipstick and gel nails, which users can recreate using Nailboo.
Gigi notably didn’t walk the Met Gala carpet with her boyfriend. Bradley Cooper. However, the couple maintained a low-key relationship and were only photographed on private outings together.
The sister of Bella Hadid is an expert on fashion – and the Met Gala – having attended the event several times since 2024. Late last year, Gigi opened up about her modeling career and life as a mother to her daughter Khai, who she shares with her ex Zayn Malik.
“I started thinking about a more stable work schedule that didn’t require me to fly to a different country every week,” she said W Magazine in September 2023. “I wanted something that I could go to the same office every day. I’ve never had that before. I could have a schedule with a child and then plan my work life around that.”
When it comes to motherhood, Gigi described her daily life with Khai, 3, to the publication.
“We are getting ready together. “She watches me do my thing,” the proud mother said at the time. “She’s going to brush her teeth with me and now she wants to put moisturizer on, which is so sweet. She really makes me laugh. We party all day, dance and talk a lot. She’s almost three and a genius, if I do say so myself.”
