The Golden Bachelor Couple Gerry Turner And Theresa Nist have officially broken up after three months of marriage – and have to give the rings back.
“I think that’s the rule, I think I have to give this ring back. Sad to say,” Theresa, 70, shared while Good morning America on Friday, April 12, after they announced their split. Gerry, 72, chimed in and added: “But you know what, we don’t have to give the memories back.”
GMA anchor Juju Chang gave fans more answers after her interview aired, revealing that Gerry and Theresa actually had a marriage. “And they highly recommend it,” she added. Chang, 58, also said that the two plan to stay in each other’s lives because they are still “best friends.”
While Theresa shared no plans to become the Golden Bachelorette, the former reality star offered some advice to the upcoming (and yet to be announced) franchise star. “She said, ‘Be authentic, be yourself,'” Chang remembers.
Meanwhile, Gerry proposed to Theresa Golden Bachelor Finale aired in November 2023. Their live wedding special aired on ABC on January 4, with the former couple exchanging vows in front of 50 members of Bachelor Nation — plus viewers across the country.

We have so much love to share and now with so many more people to share it with,” Theresa told Gerry during their vows. “I promise to give you calm in a storm, comfort you when you are sad, laugh with you when you are happy and stay with you through it all, but most of all, have fun and “The rest of the time we have left on this earth could last another hour.”
Their love for family apparently came full circle when Gerry and Theresa revealed the reason for their divorce. The previous Golden Bachelor Star said it was “best for the happiness of each of us to live apart” and close to our respective families.
Gerry shares two daughters with his late wife, Tonywhile Theresa has two children – a son and a daughter – with her late husband Billy.

It was previously reported that the couple had not yet moved in together after expressing hopes of moving after the wedding. Gerry stayed in his home state of Indiana while Theresa stayed in New Jersey.
