Disney/Eric McCandlessGolden Bachelor Stars Gerry Turner And Theresa Nist will sit down for an “emotional” interview in an upcoming episode of Good morning America.
“You’ve captured the hearts of millions on @goldenbachabc – now Gerry and Theresa just meet for an emotional interview GMA” the morning talk show wrote on its official Instagram page on Thursday, April 11, along with a promotional clip for the episode.
In the video, Gerry, 71, and Nist, 70, were seen in matching white outfits as they prepared to speak openly about their relationship after saying “I do.” A voiceover of the clip told fans: “Your journey has captured the hearts of millions. Now Gerry and Teresa have something new they want to share. Your emotional, brand new interview that will have everyone talking tomorrow morning GMA.”
Gerry and Theresa tied the knot in front of ABC cameras on January 4 after meeting on the show’s first season Golden Bachelor. While his season aired last fall, Gerry opened up exclusively Us weekly that he had no intention of getting engaged again after the death of his first wife, Tonyin 2017 after 43 years of marriage.
When I was together [before the show]I was looking for the person I would spend the rest of my life with, regardless of label. However, Gerry’s plans changed when he met Teresa and the couple didn’t hesitate to walk down the aisle.
“I think it was a natural progression of the season,” Gerry said Us last year. “Because of that, we knew each other so well and learned so much more about each other every day, and when the opportunity to do this came up, it just seemed like the right thing to do, the natural thing to do. And Theresa said it very well – we touched so many people with the show that we wanted it to continue for the rest of our journey.”
More than a year after their wedding, Gerry and Theresa still seem to be in great shape. They performed together Joey Graziadeis Season 28 finale of The bachelor on March 25, where Gerry became emotional as he watched finalists Daisy Kent and Kelsey Anderson meet Joey’s family. (Joey, 28, eventually got engaged to Kelsey, 25.) Earlier this month, the two were spotted out and about again, attending the Hulu on Disney+ celebration in Los Angeles on April 5. However, the couple caused a stir when TMZ reported earlier this month that Gerry was living at his lake house in Indiana while Teresa remained in New Jersey.
