Pastor Keion Henderson has many eyes looking his way after a recent sermon that went viral.
The spiritual leader had silenced a congregation member’s loud praises, and the moment played out on the livestream of his service. He stopped in the middle of the prayer, walked across the stage towards the woman and silenced her. She immediately fell silent when he announced that he only wanted to hear God’s voice.
As of Monday afternoon, Pastor Keion has not publicly addressed the mixed reactions to his tone and approach to the situation. The woman in question has not revealed her identity, so it is unclear whether she has spoken publicly about her feelings.

Their silence hasn’t stopped people from flooding the pastor’s social media platforms. In his latest Instagram post – which he apparently filmed after Sunday’s controversial moment – Henderson spoke about God, saying: “…He said what He said, so you can say what He said.”
Meanwhile, several users claimed in the over 1,400 comments that the woman in the video frequently disrupted praise and worship.

Someone sent my sister a video of this and she sent it to me and I explained to her that this has been a distraction for MONTHS now.”

Who is Pastor Keion Henderson?
For comparison, Keion Henderson is the founder and senior pastor of Lighthouse Church in Houston, Texas.
His website states that he was first called to preach the Word of God at the age of five. In 2003, at the age of 21, he founded his first church, Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, with five members. He ran it while studying full-time and grew his congregation to 600 within five years.
