Flashback to the Summer House: Lindsay Hubbard Feels Rejected by Carl Radke’s Mother

“I was so, so hurt. I felt this insane rejection,” Lindsay told the girls when they got back to the Hamptons. “I think the reason I’m so hurt is because I don’t talk to my birth mother. Yes, I have my stepmother. I have my aunt. [But for] Me, if I marry you, I will gain an extra mother.”

Lindsay began to cry as she relived the emotions of the last week. “It was very, very hurtful for me to feel like my mother was rejecting me before I was even in the family,” she explained. “That’s the only issue that makes me break down.”

Noting that she and Sharon “discussed everything and we’re fine,” Lindsay joked, “I guess it was a breakdown and a breakthrough.”

Although Lindsay was confident about her relationship with her future in-laws after their conversation in Hamptons, Carl struggled with the dilemma.
