The special screening in Mumbai was an ode to David Leitch’s idea The Guy case It is a heartfelt tribute to the stuntmen industry, as he says: “The Guy case For me, it’s really a love letter to the stunt performers and the workers who make films.”

Speaking about Universal Pictures India’s screening, action director and stunt coordinator Sham Kaushal said, “First of all, I would like to congratulate Universal Pictures for making a film like this The Guy case. I would also like to thank Universal Pictures India for hosting a special screening for the Mumbai stunt community. This film is very special all over the world because it revolves around the topic of stuntmen in the film industry. Former stunt director David Leitch directed this film and as a stuntman it is a job that requires extreme commitment, passion and risk. It’s time to appreciate the film that honors the achievements of the stunt workers. I hope The Fall Guy has a hugely successful theatrical release!”

Action director Manohar Verma shared his experience of watching the film at the special stunt screening and said, “The Fall Guy is a great film! I come from a stunt family, my father was a stuntman and my brother was a stuntman. The topic of The Guy case is a part of my life and our family. After watching The Fall Guy series in the mid-80s, I did a pilot for Doordarshan in the 90s with Amitabh Bachchan about the life of a stuntman. Nowadays Bollywood action is synonymous with Hollywood action because we rehearse and give it a lot of time. The actors also do many of the actions themselves. The Guy case is an inspiration to the stuntmen and women of the Indian film industry and personally an inspiration to me. I watched the series “The Fall Guy” in the 1980s and today I’m watching the movie. The preparation and difference between the stunt industry in India and the West is quite obvious. We take inspiration from Hollywood, but our stuntmen in India are daredevils and can live up to these standards well! I would like to thank Universal Pictures India for inviting the stunt community in Mumbai to this special screening!”
