Faith Hill Shares the Hilarious ‘Perks of Being Mrs. McGraw’

Tim McGraw is a year older again, but has always remained young at heart. The country superstar was celebrated by his fellow country superstar. Faith Hillon his birthday with a sweet tribute.

“Thank GOD and Betty for being born on this day 57 years ago,” Hill wrote on Instagram, lovingly shouting out McGraw’s mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Trimble.

Hill then changed her remarks to deliver a message to McGraw’s fans about a video of the musician fooling around with a prop gun, intercut with scenes from his role in Paramount. Yellowstone prequel, 1883.

“A rare glimpse into the life of a grown man living his inner boy. I thought you would like this. I laughed so hard when I saw it,” she admitted. “Tim’s team put this together and allowed me to take advantage of it…the benefits of being Mrs. McGraw!!!!!!”

Hill continued, “It was fun seeing you all on the street. I’m a fan, just like you, of watching this man and his masterclass in electrifying the stage and knowing that it only comes from the audience. It’s a…”truly a sight to behold.

The “One Bad Habit” singer turned 57 on Wednesday, May 1. He is currently in the middle of 2024 Standing room only tour.

Hill and McGraw celebrated 27 years of marriage in October. In an August interview with ET, McGraw explained how his and Hill’s love deepened each year. “I mean, I can’t imagine it any other way,” he said.

The married couple share three daughters – Gracie, 26, Maggie, 24, and Audrey, 21 – who have all moved out of the house in recent years. When asked if they enjoy living together as empty nesters, McGraw quipped, “We enjoy it, yeah.”

Another perk of being Mrs. McGraw? The love songs. McGraw most recently sang about Hill in his 2023 single “Her.”

“Oh, she loves it!” McGraw told ET at the time, beaming when asked about his wife’s reaction. “She makes me play it all the time… I’m sick of it, I don’t want to hear it, [but] She loves it!”

And it was love at first sight for Hill. McGraw recalled: “She loved it so much. She says, ‘This is about me, isn’t it?’ I say, “Yes, of course!”

McGraw also praised his wife and children’s singing talent, joking that he was “the worst singer” in the family.

“All three are great singers,” he said of his daughters. “At some point I would like to do a song with all five of us. I talk about it all the time and they say, ‘I won’t sing with you, Dad.'”

“Maybe I’ll talk her into it. Maybe they’re getting a little bit out of the phase where they don’t want to sing with me. They’ll sing with mom, but I’m probably not up to par with the others,” he said. “I’m the worst singer in the family. That’s correct. I’m pretty good, but I’m the worst singer in the family.”
