Exotic Supercars and Super-luxury Cars That Sank in the Dubai Floods: In Pictures

At the beginning of April, the metropolis of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates experienced the heaviest rainfall in 75 years. After the rains, everything including homes, offices and hundreds of ultra-expensive luxury cars were affected by flooding. And on May 3, these heavy rains returned again to the cities of Dubai, Sharjah and other cities, causing further flooding. This time, a number of extremely rare and exotic hypercars and luxury cars were affected by the floods. Here are some pictures of the cars.

Supercars, hypercars and luxury cars flood Dubai

These images of the flooded supercars and luxury cars come courtesy of 44vato from Instagram. The first image shows three flooded Lamborghinis after being parked in an underground car park. The one on the right is an Aventador SV Roadster. This particular car is painted in the very vibrant shade of Blue Cephus.

On the far left, however, you can see the Lamborghini Huracan in the yellow shade Giallo Triplo Strato. These two cars are now rare in India, but by Dubai standards they are quite common. What is not common even for Dubai’s standards is the hypercar in the middle.

How rare is a Lamborghini Sian?

For those who may not know, the car in the middle is the Lamborghini Sian Coupe. This is the extremely rare hypercar that Lamborghini produces only for its special customers. There are only 63 Sian coupes worldwide. There are also only 19 Sian roadsters. This particular car alone costs over Rs 32 crore.

Other cars that are flooded

Mercedes G63 AMGs flooded

Now if we move on to the pictures, we can see that there were also two Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG SUVs. Both SUVs were parked outside a Mercedes-Benz dealership along with a slew of other cars. There were also three Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II luxury sedans that were completely flooded.

Each of the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG SUVs costs Rs 4 crore and there were three of them. The third is the white car, of which we can see the spare wheel. Apart from this, each Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II costs Rs 3 crore, so the dealer has lost a total of Rs 9 crore.

This is just a rough estimate of what we can see from these images. Most likely there are even more luxury and supercars that have gone under. According to the post, a total loss of around $50-100 million was incurred, which is equivalent to around Rs 400-800 crore.

Three of the rarest Pagani hypercars flooded

Now if you’re an automotive enthusiast and thought the Sian flooding was the worst, then you’ll be proven wrong. This is because the pictures show not one, but three Pagani hypercars, which are also flooded right in front of the dealership.

To the untrained eye, these hypercars may seem like regular supercars. In reality, these are some of the most exclusive hypercars in the world. The picture on the far left is the Pagani Huayra BC. There are only 40 Huayra BC coupes in the world, each costing more than Rs 35 crore.

Additionally, there is another Huayra at the far right end of the image. However, it is not possible to determine which Huayra it is. The company has produced a few different iterations of the Huayra, including the standard coupe, the Roadster BC, the Roadster BC, the Imola and some one-offs. Each example is extremely rare and costs over 25 Crore Rupees.

Pagani Utopia flooded

Ultimately, the most painful thing is the flooding of the car in the middle. It is the pagan utopia. Although not as rare as the Pagani Huayra BC, the Utopia’s flooding is painful as it is only one of the few Utopias around the world that were delivered. This is a brand new model and the company will only build 99 units of the Utopia.

Each utopia will be a unique model, and no two utopias will be the same. So far, Pagani has only delivered a few Utopias, meaning this could be the only one in Dubai. The base price of a Pagani Utopia is Rs 29 crore. This price does not include any optional extras.

There is also a video of this Pagani Utopia driving on flooded roads. The Pagani Utopia is powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbo engine that produces 852 hp and 1100 Nm of torque. It is mated to an Xtrac 7-speed automatic manual transmission.
