Eva Mendes turned 50 and confessed she didn’t expect to be “locked up.” Ryan Gosling or being a stay at home mom.

“But there was obviously a lot of thought and conversation, especially on my end, about what I wanted to do with my life… Acting requires you to be on location for months at a time. But I still wanted to work. So I had to get creative about what this work would look like.”
She added, “I just saw these quotes that there was a ‘nonverbal agreement.'” In print it said to me, “Oh wait, that makes it seem like there’s no communication.” It’s not easy that’s how it happened. I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to do with my life…
“It was one of those things like, ‘Oh, crap; That’s not what I wanted to say. It was just misinterpreted, but whatever. There are worse things.”
Mendes and Gosling met on the set of their film The place Beyond the Pinesand later welcomed their children, born in 2014 and 2016.
