Enrique Iglesias on What Anna Kournikova Really Thinks About Kissing Fans

It’s all love in between Enrique Iglesiashis long-time partner, Anna Kournikovaand his fans.

The 49-year-old artist isn’t afraid to get something Up close and personal with the audience during his shows and apparently his significant other is “totally cool” with it!

During an interview on SiriusXM’s Hits 1 Miami with Mack & JenThe “Hero” singer was bluntly asked if Kournikova ever gets “jealous” when she sees him kissing fans.

“Not at all,” Iglesias replied. “No no no no no.”

He added: “I do that all the time. I love hugging, kissing and just hugging my fans. I like being up close, you know.”

Iglesias said that fans would sometimes even seek Kournikova’s approval to show their solidarity with the girls’ code.

“Anna will be at one of my shows,” he explained, “and a lot of times she’ll tell me, ‘Some of the girls and some of the ladies always tell me, ‘Are you okay with this?'” It’s like, ‘Yeah! I’m totally cool.’”

The GRAMMY winner noted that he likes to do a little PDA if it shows fans how much he appreciates them.

“I love getting so much love for my fans and I know I wouldn’t be where I am without them,” he explained.

The singer and former tennis professional met in December 2001 on the set of his music video for “Escape”. The notoriously private couple sparked engagement rumors in 2004, but publicly stated they would never marry.

The long-time lovers have since given birth to three children together – six-year-old twins Lucy and Nicholas and four-year-old Mary.

Although Kournikova and Iglesias are not legally married, her last name is listed as Iglesias in her Instagram bio.

ET spoke with Iglesias Back in March 2020, when he opened up about fatherhood and welcoming his youngest daughter just a few months earlier.

He said, “I’m not sleeping, but I’m having a great time! I mean, I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

Meanwhile, there was a lot of speculation about the state of Iglesias’ career when he released his last album – Finale: Vol. 2 — March. The artist previously explained to ET that although he is done recording full-length albums, he has no plans to actually retire from making music or recording singles.

“It’s important to me to say that I’m not retiring, it’s just my last album,” he said in 2021. “That doesn’t mean I’m going to stop touring, that doesn’t mean I’m going anywhere.” and crawl into a cave and disappear.
