Emily Blunt Talks About Ryan Gosling’s Sweet Gift for Her Daughters

Emily Blunts Promotional trip with Ryan Gosling could conclude – with her film The Guy case is coming to theaters — but the actress says it’s a reminder of that Barbie Star will live in her house forever.

Blunt walked the carpet at the premiere of The Guy case on Tuesday at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, and she spoke to ET’s Denny Director about it Gosling gave her daughters a special rose gift earlier this month.

“The roses are still in her playroom at home,” Blunt said. “It’s this huge box of roses that says ‘KEN’ on it and they’re just so happy about it. I mean, they bring their friends just to show them, you know?”

Bluntly previously revealed in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel that her children — Hazel, 9, and Violet, 7, whom she shares with husband John Krasinski — got the chance to meet Gosling after their mother had a cameo appearance in his final episode of Saturday Night Live.

“We’ll never be able to throw them away,” Blunt told ET of the bouquet. “And I’ll live with Ken forever.”

An aspect of Gosling’s time as SNL Host who really seemed to resonate with fans was the actor’s inability to keep track and stop him from bursting out laughing.

According to Blunt, he brings the same atmosphere and energy to his film sets.

“Yeah, I mean, I think we’re both really weak in that way,” Blunt said. “I don’t know if we can keep this together.”

“But I like working with people like that,” she added. “It’s more fun.”

Shortly thereafter The Guy case is rushing into theaters, Blunt will appear in it IFa fantasy comedy directed by and starring her husband Ryan Reynolds. Blunt voices a unicorn in the family film, which hits theaters May 17, and she joked about how difficult it was to get the role.

“It was a very tough audition,” Blunt joked. “It took some time, but in the end I got the role of the unicorn. It was fantastic.”

“It’s so magical. It’s so poignant, it’s funny and exciting, but it’s really deep and I think there’s just so much to talk about afterward,” she said on IF. “I’m so happy for you to see it.”

In the meantime, The Guy case – starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Winston Duke, Hannah Waddingham, Teresa Palmer and Stephanie Hsu – hits theaters on May 3rd.
