Emily Blunt Reveals Swoon-worthy Gift Ryan Gosling Gave Her Daughters

When Emily Blunt talks about her daughters and her obsession with them The Guy case co-star, Ryan Gosling, she paints a rosy picture. And the story is pretty literal.

At an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel LiveThe 41-year-old actress shared that her daughters – Hazel, 9, and Violet, 7, whom she shares with husband John Krasinski – not only met Gosling, but were also lucky enough to receive a gift from him, this made the girls dizzy.

Blunt shared that the entire family met Gosling and his family when they were all in New York for her birthday Saturday Night Live Appearance earlier this month. Blunt joined Gosling on stage during his monologue they say goodbye to their Barbie And Oppenheimer Characters with a reinterpretation of Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well.”

Blunt then revealed to Kimmel the gift Gosling gave her daughters that left her overwhelmed with emotion.

“They are so obsessed with Ken,” Blunt said of her daughters. “So they finally met him. He came over [partner] Eve [Mendes] and the girls say goodbye. They remained in New York during his tenure SNL and he brought them this huge box of roses that he had in his dressing room SNL that would be “Ken”. And he just said to the girls, “I really want to thank you for the support for Ken.” And they literally said, [swooning].”

Afterwards, Blunt said her daughters confirmed that the roses “smelled so good.”

Blunt’s children aren’t the only ones obsessed. Gosling and Mendes’ children – daughters Esmeralda (9) and Amanda (7) – describe Blunt as a certain mystical figure. It was during a recent interview on the Today Show where Gosling told how they relate to Blunt.

“My kids call her Mary Poppins,” Gosling joked, referring to Blunt’s role as the magical nanny in 2018 Mary Poppins returns. “They’re like, ‘Are you working with Mary Poppins today?'”

Blunt and Gosling spoke to ET recently and they raved about the best aspects of working together.

“She just brings, you know, she brings that blunt force, she brings the magic, she just brings Marry Poppins,” Gosling said. “And take whatever it is out of her bag. She rises from heaven, she pulls all the tricks out of her acting bag, she does the magic. Then she goes off to help other people on other films and you think, ‘Was that real?’”

Blunt added: “I could actually write kind of a long list of the things that I admire and adore about Ryan. I think he’s a completely unique talent and he’s the best and he’s endlessly funny and incredibly smart and kind… They’re the friendliest.”
