Dorit Kemsley and PK Kemsley have reached the end of their romantic line.
Late Thursday, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star and the British businessman confirmed via Instagram that they were ending their nine-year marriage.
They did this with a joint statement.
“As a couple, we have been the subject of much speculation about our marriage,” the estranged couple wrote on social media.
“We have had our problems over the last few years and continue to deal with them as two people who love each other and have two great children together.
“To protect our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children, we have collectively made the difficult decision to take time off and re-evaluate our relationship while prioritizing our children.
“We appreciate your love and support as we continue to do the necessary work on this journey.”
The reality stars went to the altar in 2015.
They are parents to a daughter named Phoenix and a son named Jagger.
News of the couple’s split comes about eight months after Dorit and PK denied there were problems in their relationship, releasing a statement to People Magazine in October 2023 that said:
“We remain committed to resolving these issues as a united couple for our family. We haven’t broken up and don’t plan to.
“Rather, we focus on healing, creating change, and doing the things that many couples need to do at some point in their marriage.”
On the final season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which was just renewed by Bravo this week, Dorit struggled with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following a break-in at her home, as well as her husband’s apparent lack of understanding of what she was doing as a result of this trauma.
After confessing to the aforementioned “challenging years” back in October, Kemsley was asked by host Andy Cohen what went down at the show’s reunion.
“After we packed up [filming]”It got worse and worse, and he and I probably got worse and worse,” she told the producer, even saying at the time that PK had been staying in a hotel for a while.
“We had problems and we worked through things.”
On this personal topic, Kemsley concluded at the time:
“PK drank a lot and he is a drinker. I just think it’s very difficult to keep a clear head when he drinks so much, so he gave up drinking.
“This was a very pivotal moment, so things are as good as they can be.”
Unfortunately, this is no longer the case with Dorit and PK. We wish both of them all the best for their future journey.
