When Tesla introduced the Cybertruck EV pickup truck in 2019, it sparked controversy as some people loved the futuristic design while others hated it because it was ridiculous and a bit dangerous as it had lots of sharp corners and a stainless steel body that was too heavy.
Inspired by the design of the Cybertruck, Chinese automobile manufacturer Dongfeng has produced its own “Cybertruck” with a more sensible design – it is the Dongfeng E-Truck concept model, which is making its debut at the ongoing Auto China 2024.
According to Dongfeng, this truck will be produced via the EV skateboard platform. What’s interesting is that this Dongfeng E-Truck is powered with a larger power of 1,305 HP compared to the original Cybertruck, which received 845 HP for the wildest version of the Cyberbeast!
A variety of exterior designs clearly inspired by Cybertruck to create this electric truck, including the silver body color as if it were the original color of real stainless steel, the LED bar that extends completely across the face and the main lights , which are attached to the front floor and even the “frunk”, the cargo area at the front.
Nevertheless, this electric truck takes into account more sensible aspects by having a flat roof compared to the wedge shape of the Cybertruck and no sharp corners on the body.
The rear is also heavily inspired by the Cybertruck and features an LED taillight bar (which also includes a display panel). On the back side of the bed it can be used as a tent when the cover is opened and is also equipped with an induction cooker on the bed door.

In addition, this e-truck also has its own design, such as a rear door suicide door ala Rolls-Royce, as well as side steps that can be automatically hidden/removed.
In the cabin, this electric truck, like the Cybertruck, gets a square steering wheel and a long screen that stretches across the entire dashboard. Another screen in the middle also allows direct access to the vehicle’s various functions such as “Crab Road” mode, tank-style turning and also water wading mode at a depth of 720 mm.
