Devin Haney Lashes Out at Ryan Garcia After He Reportedly Tested Positive for a Banned Performance-enhancing Substance

Less than two weeks ago, Ryan Garcia stretched his chest over his “W” in the boxing match against him. Devin Haney. On Wednesday (May 1), he filmed a sit-down video to stop reports of a failed drug test.

Less than 24 hours later, Devin accused him of disrespecting “the fans and the sport of boxing by fighting dirty.”

Here’s what happened, Roomies.

Reports say THIS, while Ryan Garcia says…

ESPN has reportedly received a letter from the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association. The note states that Garcia tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug the day before the April 20 fight.

The test involved taking two urine samples. Sample A tested positive for ostarine and tested positive for 19-norandrosterone, according to ESPN. Garica reportedly has ten days to request an examination of his B sample.

He shared a video late Wednesday in which he insisted that cheating and performance-enhancing steroids were a mystery to him! Garcia claimed he was attacked and questioned why the results weren’t announced sooner.

“I’ve never taken a steroid, I don’t even know where I can get steroids at the end of the day. I hardly take any supplements.”

Devin Haney drags Ryan for disrespecting fans and the sport of boxing

Meanwhile, Devin was far from laughing in his statement to ESPN on Thursday. He criticized Ryan for being disrespectful to fans and boxing by “fighting dirty.”

“…It is unfortunate that Ryan has betrayed and disrespected both the fans and the sport of boxing by fighting dirty and achieving positive results not once, but twice.”

Devin suggested that Ryan owed fans an apology and accused Garcia of making a joke about the situation with his X-posts. Haney also reminded everyone of the biggest downside to her job: dying in the ring.

“That puts the fight in a completely different light. Despite the disadvantage, I still fought with my shield and got back up! People die in this sport. That’s no joke.”

Devin & Garcia’s recent story

As previously mentioned, Garcia was anything but modest about his win over Haney. He won by majority decision. Outside the ring, his reaction went viral as he knocked Devin down three times and berated Devin for the loss.

Garcia had openly bragged about his weight loss and drinking, but this week his song energized the Just Say No campaign!

Late Wednesday, Devin shared his first X post since April 21st. The last post said: “However you tolerate it, I will come back, InshaAllah.”

In his post yesterday, he called Allah the “Ultimate Planner.”

Over on Instagram Story, however, he let the pettiness flag fly a bit.
