Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson was at his best in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Delhi Capitals (DC). The 56th match of the tournament between the teams will take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has done a good job as captain in the ongoing match against Delhi Capitals. The keeper-batsman has made brilliant changes in his bowling that have enabled his team to take wickets at regular intervals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Sanju Samson also consistently guided his bowlers behind the stumps while passing on his inputs. However, at the end of the 9th over, the Rajasthan Royals captain looked frustrated after Riyan Parag conceded six to Axar Patel on the last ball.
Riyan Parag hit a throw into the slot which was hit over long-on by Axar Patel. Sanju Samson didn’t seem happy with this as he mumbled something in frustration. This was probably due to the bowler’s inability to close the over on high.

Before the game, Delhi Capitals were asked to bat first and they had a great performance with the bat. Jake Fraser-McGurk (50) and Abishek Porel (65) got the team off to a great start and put pressure on their opponents. Rajasthan Royals bounced back incredibly well and picked quick wickets.
However, in the end it was Tristan Stubbs who ensured he ended the innings on high. The Proteas batsman came on the attack with full force and attacked the Rajasthan Royals bowlers. He played a sensational innings scoring 41 runs in just 20 balls as Delhi Capitals posted a total of 221 runs on the board.
For Rajasthan Royals, Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 3/24. Apart from him, Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal picked up a wicket each at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Ravichandran Ashwin, who showed his class with the ball, spoke about his magic and said that he is working on a few things. He admitted that Delhi Capitals have posted a total on the board and also shared his insights on the future of T20 cricket. In an interview with broadcasters he explained:
“You don’t throw a full toss and get a wicket in the first over you have! I am not complaining. I’ve been working on a few things. I tried different angles and different triggers. I’d say 220 is about equivalent. I think “We will get more and more baseball players to play T20 in the future!”
The Sanju Samson-led team is keen to achieve the goal of winning their 9th game of the season. If they manage to win the game, they will be the first team to qualify for the playoffs as they will then have 18 points.
