There’s no dancing around it – she said yes!
Dancing mothers Graduate Brooke Hyland has officially gotten engaged to her longtime love, Brian Thalman.
The special moment for the former reality TV star and her boyfriend occurred on Sunday when Thalman popped the question during what she said was a Mother’s Day brunch for their families. Hyland got a big surprise when Thalman got down on one knee and their families were there to witness the special moment.
“I was completely surprised when he got down on one knee and was so happy that our families were able to witness it from afar and celebrate with brunch afterwards,” Hyland said in a statement.
To commemorate the moment, Thalman proposed with Brilliant Earth’s Sydney Perfect Fit Ring. The custom engagement ring is made of 18k yellow gold with a 3.5 carat elongated cushion cut. Hyland was more than proud to demonstrate the sparkler.
On Monday, Hyland went to Instagram to rave about the special moment.
“I learned he’s almost as tall as me on one knee – for today, tomorrow and forever after 💍 📸: @ashleysaraphoto,” she wrote.
Hyland got the support of her colleague Dance mother Alums in the comments.
“Congratulations Brooke!!! I’m so happy for you!!!🤍,” Nia Sioux wrote.
Hyland also received likes from Simone Biles.
Hyland, 26, and Thalman began dating in 2021 after meeting in her hometown of Pittsburgh. The pair initially did long-distance training before Hyland returned to Pittsburgh from Texas.
Fans were able to get a glimpse of where Hyland is currently in her life Dance Moms: The Reunion. Last month, ET spoke with Hyland and her sister Paige Hylandwhere Hyland discussed the altercation between her mother Kelly Hyland and Abby Lee Miller that led to the end of her time on the show – and recently became a TikTok trend.
“It is difficult. It’s become a TikTok trend,” Hyland said of the moment. “People use that sound from battle. We scroll past. I recreated it. I just laugh about it. But the reunion was the first time we sat there and thought, ‘Wow, that happened.’ And it was my mother and my dance teacher who were a very important person in my life.
