• The hypercar’s exterior is bathed in Blu Savoia Gloss and features a white roof in Bianco Sestriere Gloss.
  • The Battista is powered by four electric motors with an output of 1,877 hp.
  • This particular Battista has a similar configuration to Battista Farina’s personal Lancia Florida.

Automobili Pininfarina has unveiled the latest bespoke Battista, commissioned as a tribute to the 1955 Lancia Florida and sporting a white and blue livery.

Famed designer Battista Farina created the Lancia Florida in the early 1950s and his personal car served as the inspiration for this electric hypercar tribute. It is called Cinquantacinque and is painted in Blu Savoia Gloss, contrasted with a white roof in Bianco Sestriere Gloss. The blue is a little lighter than Farina’s Florida, but matches the Battista perfectly.

Elsewhere, the small automaker has equipped the car with its brushed anodized jewelry package, while the interior is trimmed in traditional Poltrona Frau leather. And the name? Cinquantacinque means 55 in Italian and refers to the year in which the original Lancia Florida was introduced.

The company has not said who the lucky owner of this Battista is and where he will live. What we do know is that it will be unveiled at a special event in Tokyo, Japan and shown to customers in the region alongside the brand’s local retail partner.

“This was a truly special and unique opportunity to design a car that pays homage to the heritage of Pininfarina SpA,” said Dave Amantea, Chief Design Officer of Automobili Pininfarina. “The color combination of the Battista Cinquantacinque is incredible and shows the vision that Battista Farina had when he designed the Lancia Florida in the early 1950s. In addition, this very model helped me develop the PURA Vision design concept, a truly unique vehicle that forms the template for future Automobili Pininfarina models.”

Like all other Battistas, the Cinquantacinque is powered by four electric motors, which together produce 1,877 horsepower and 2,430 Nm (1,726 lb-ft) of torque. The hypercar sprints to 100 km/h in an incredible 1.86 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h in 4.75 seconds and reaches a top speed of 350 km/h.
