Costco is known for its huge warehouses full of mass consumer goods at good prices domestic appliances, but between discounted 24-packs of paper towels and giant boxes of trail mix, you’ll find something even better; Cars.
Costco Members are authorised Discounts on new cars, which is great considering how Damn expensive, those damn things are these days. This month, Costco is offering up to $2,000 off your purchase or rental from a new Polestar 2and $1,000 off the purchase or lease of a new car Chevrolet Blazer EV, Chevrolet Equinox EV, Cadillac Lyricsand most of them new Volvo Models. All of these offers are valid from May 1st to July 31st, 2024. To take advantage of the discounts, people must have been a Costco member before April 30, 2024. So if you’re looking to sign up for a Costco membership with these deals, you’re out of luck.
Here’s how these discounts work: Costco members must register for the discounts online or through Costco’s call center by July 31. After registration, buyers receive a certificate with the promotional code that they can submit to any OEM Dealer where it is honored. These Costco member discounts do not negate any other dealer incentives for which the shopper qualifies. So it’s literally a coupon that will instantly save you $1,000 or $2,000 off the price of a qualified new car.
The General Motors The offers say in the fine print: “In stock delivery by July 31st,” which likely means special order vehicles are not eligible. The Volvo The deal’s fine print says “Delivery by July 31st,” so the deal should be applicable to special orders. The Polaris The deal’s fine print states that the order must be placed before July 31, so special order vehicles should also qualify here. The Volvo offer also applies to decommissioned demonstrator vehicles and previously serviced loaner vehicles, so you may be able to get a bargain on an almost new Volvo. The list of Volvo models eligible for the $1,000 rebate is extensive and includes new 2024 or 2025 Volvo XC40, XC60 and XC60 PHEVs, XC90 and XC90 PHEVs, and new 2024 models Charge XC40 models and C40 charging Models. All eligible GM models, Chevrolet Equinox EV, Chevrolet Blazer EV and Cadillac Lyriq, are also eligible for the full federal EV incentive of $7,500, meaning Costco members can easily get $8,500 off the price of an eligible GM vehicle. Electric vehicle can be obtained, which is significant.
