Chynna Phillips Had a 14-inch Tumor Removed from Her Leg

Chynna Phillips announced that she will undergo surgery to remove a 14-inch tumor from her leg.

“The one thing I never thought could happen to me has happened. I’m so upset with myself for not seeing the writing on the wall,” Phillips captioned a video she posted to her YouTube on Monday, April 22, titled “My worst fear came true 😪.” Channel had uploaded. “This shows that it could actually happen” to everyone! Join me on my California tour of the sacred block as I process everything that has happened.”

During her walk, Phillips shared that she will have to undergo surgery on her leg in the next few months.

“I have a tumor in my left leg. I’ve had it since I was a little girl. They don’t know if I was born with it or not. It’s completely harmless, but it’s big,” the 56-year-old singer said while walking in her neighborhood. “I’m talking about very, very big. It’s about 14 inches long and 4 inches wide.”

Phillips shared that although her surgery is “still eight weeks away,” she was nervous about the procedure because it requires anesthesia.

“I’m completely terrified of anesthesia, and I don’t know, I just feel like going under is the closest thing to death,” she explained. “I mean, it actually is. It’s the closest thing to death, which is probably not the best way for me to process the anesthesia, but there’s nothing I can do about it.”

The musician shared that this was not the first time she received anesthesia. She recalled that she had been given the drug several times, including during the removal of her breast implants and during four previous surgeries on her leg.

“This will be my fifth operation on my leg,” she admitted. “Look, I’m not complaining, I’m just saying I’ve had a lot of surgeries. I’m sick. I don’t like anesthesia and I’m always kicking and screaming.”

Phillips shared that despite her fear of the procedure, she focused her energy on turning her “worries into prayers.”

“I know that if I surrender radically, Jesus can help me. But it just sucks that they have to make a brand new cut, and I already have a huge, 12-inch scar on my left left leg, and now I’m going to have another one on the inside of my left leg,” she said in the clip . “It’s just frustrating, but everything will be okay.
