Christine Quinn’s Husband Christian Dumontet Charged with Child Abuse

Almost two months later Christine QuinnChristian Dumontet’s husband, with whom they live separately, was arrested after an incident in the family. Formal charges are being filed against the tech manager.

Dumontet ran into legal trouble in March when he was arrested after a domestic incident. There were allegations that his and Quinn’s three-year-old son, Christian George, was injured by a glass bottle during the altercation.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office tells ET that Dumontet has been charged with three misdemeanors: child abuse/endangerment, assault and violating a protective order. The arraignment date against Dumontet is set for June 4th.

Quinn’s attorney, Jacqueline Sparagna of Werksman Jackson & Quinn LLP, released a statement to ET confirming the allegations.

“We are extremely pleased with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office’s decision to file three separate charges against Mr. Dumontet,” Sparagna said. “He has now been formally charged with child abuse of his then two-year-old toddler, assault against Christine Quinn and violating a restraining order. We believe this development is a crucial step in protecting the legal and personal interests of both victims and trust that the matter will continue to be treated with the utmost seriousness it deserves.”

Dumontet’s legal problems did not end with his first arrest. After being taken into police custody over the domestic incident, he was arrested again Violation of an urgent protection order 48 hours later.

Los Angeles police confirmed to ET that officers responded to the apartment on March 19 after Dumontet allegedly threw a bag containing a glass bottle at Quinn, but missed They allegedly beat their two-year-old son Christian, resulting in injury. Meanwhile, Dumontet was arrested on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, police confirmed. ET learned that Quinn then filed a restraining order.

Dumontet was then cuffed again 48 hours after the incident for violating the restraining order. TMZ reported that the arrest came after Dumontet went to his and Quinn’s home in the Hollywood Hills, allegedly violating an emergency protective order. A little more than five hours later, he was released on $30,000 bail.

Dumontet filed for his own protective order against the former reality TV star in the Superior Court of California, Los Angeles County, on March 25, according to legal documents obtained by ET at the time. Based on the documents, the entrepreneur disputes the allegations led to his arrest March 20 on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

In the documents, Dumontet listed the date of the alleged abuse as March 19, the day before he was removed in handcuffs from his and Quinn’s home. Dumontet said he was not threatened with weapons or weapons and that no one else was present during the incident. He noted that he had allegedly only been abused once by Quinn.

Dumontet told Quinn to stay away from his home, which he has listed as their shared residence in Los Angeles, and demanded that she move out – as he claimed he owned the house and was paying some or all of the mortgage. “We are pleased that the court today dismissed Christian’s baseless motion for a DVRO against Christine. Therefore, all his applications were rejected again,” explained Sparagna. “The court also extended Christine’s restraining order [TRO] To protect her and her son from Christian until May 14, 2024. We look forward to appearing at this hearing to seek a permanent injunction.”

ET has obtained legal documents confirming that Quinn’s TRO has been extended by the court.

Early April, Dumontet filed for divorce after almost three years of marriage in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Dumontet cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the dissolution of the marriage. The date of separation is listed as “TBD.”

In his divorce petition, Dumontet requests sole custody of their son Christian. Dumontet checked the box and requested that Quinn be granted child visitation.

On April 16, Quinn responded to the divorce petition and also filed for legal and physical custody. Quinn is seeking spousal support and wants the court to remove the ability to award spousal support to Dumontet.

Additionally, Quinn asked the court to hold Dumontet responsible for “unpaid hospital bills related to the birth of the parties’ son.”

Quinn claims that Dumontet owes “an amount in excess of $100,000” in hospital bills and claims her estranged husband “stated that he would pay these bills.” However, he did allow them to apply for debt collection [her] names (without their knowledge), which significantly affected their credit rating.

Amid this legal development, Quinn took to X (formerly Twitter) with a cryptic message, writing, “Garbage always gets itself out.”

Although she did not specifically mention Dumontet in her post, she republished an article about her estranged husband’s allegations.

Quinn and Dumontet got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019. They married later that year, on December 15, 2019, at a cathedral in downtown Los Angeles.
